| Admin Tab Manual |
The WSI Business Edge modular website system is a highly customizable set of modules that are capable of being mixed and matched together to suit almost every purpose imaginable. Regardless of which modules you utilize for your web solution, there are common tasks to be done for website administration that require administrational access. All administration functions that are not module specific are found on the Admin Tab. This tab has twelve (12) child pages for administering: Site Settings, Page Management, Security Role Management, Vendor & Banner Management, Site Log Reports, Newsletter Creation and Send-Out, File Management, Recycle Bin (for modules and pages), Log Viewer, Skin Management, Language Management, and Windows Authentication. |
| User Account |
The User Account module allows visitors to the site to join as Registered Users. Where the [USER] skin object is included in the site skin users can click on this link to view and edit their account details, unregister their account, and manage their membership services. Alternately, adding a User Account module to a page enables authorized users to perform the same account management tasks. |
| WYSIWYG/HTML Content Editor |
The Text/HTML module renders plain text, rich text or HTML. A WYSIWYG Content Editor is integral part of this and many other modules. |
| Feedback |
The Feedback module allows users to send messages to the Site Administrator (default setting), or any other email address as set by the Site Administrator. Users can enter their name, email address, subject and body of their feedback message. Authenticated Users are recognized and their name and email address automatically populate the related fields. Users can also choose to have a copy of the feedback email forwarded to them for their records. |
| FAQ |
This module is used for presenting FAQs to surfers. It also allows surfers / users to submit questions, to which the site administrator / owner would respond via email and simultaneously post the response. |
| Events |
The Events module displays upcoming events as a list in chronological order or in calendar format. Each event listing includes a title, description, and date. Display of an image and the event time is optional. Each event can be set to automatically expire on a particular date, or re-occur by any specified number of days, weeks, months or years. Height and width properties for calendar cells can be set. |
| Email System |
The Opt In Email module allows administrators to create 'Opt In' categories and distribution lists. Users of the system can easily select which distribution list(s) they would like to Opt In/Out of. Maintenance and reports are available for administrators, and an enhanced version of 'Newsletters' is included so you can easily distribute to your Opt In lists. |
| Ultra Media Gallery |
Ultra Media Gallery is a complete internet picture gallery and media gallery solution, with it, you can create photo galleries with fully customizable flash player or in Lightbox view, you can subscribe to Flickr and Google Picasa and play their pictures on your website in professional-looking interface, you can create Headline view for news headlines, site navigation, and quick links, you can show real estate pictures with virtual tour effect, you can sell digital products online, you can present personal user gallery service and let your visitors to share their work. |
| Survey System |
The Survey module displays a survey consisting of one or more survey questions. Questions can have either a single or multiple choice answers. Authorized users can submit their response to the survey and/or can view current survey results. This module uses cookies to remember which computers have already submitted a response to the survey, reducing the opportunity for one person to answer the survey repeatedly. Optional features include the ability to set a closing date for submitting responses to the survey, and the ability to set the width of the results graph. |
| Search Input & Results |
The Search Input module displays a Search Box enabling authorized users to perform keyword searches of the site. The Search Results module MUST be added and set in order to perform a search. The Search Results module allows Authorized Users to set the properties of Search Results. The Search Input module MUST be added to the site in order to perform a search. |
| Links |
The Links module renders a list of links to any page or file on your portal; or to an external URL. The links can be set to display in either vertically (default), horizontally, or as a drop down list. Links appear in alphabetical order by default, or can be reordered. A description of the link can be set to appear either as a tool tip upon mouse over, or as an Info Link that is displayed as a leader dot link (E.g. ...) when the ... link is clicked. |
| RSS News Feed |
The News Feeds (RSS) module display news feeds on your site. A news feed is a dynamically generated list of news items; each containing a title with a link to read more, and a brief description of the news item. RSS is an acronym for Really Simple Syndication. |
| Announcements |
The Announcements Module produces a list of simple text announcements consisting of a title and brief description. Options include a ‘read more’ link to a file, page or other site, announcement publish date and expiration date. Link click tracking and logging are also available. Announcements are ordered from newest to oldest; unless a view order is specified. |
| Banners |
The Banners module manages banner advertising for Vendors of your site. Banners can be either a static or animated image, HTML text, or a script. The Banners module displays banners in a rotating fashion; ensuring visitors see different banners each visit. Vendor banners have revenue control features such as expiry dates, and cost per impression. |
| Sitemap |
This module automatically publishes a hierarchical and clickable sitemap. This module also creates a Google web crawler file which makes it easy for Google web crawler to gather accurate information about the site. Google web crawler file is updated as website is updated. |
| Google Analytics |
This module allows easily configuring the website pages to use the Google Analytics service to view traffic information to the site. Google analytics service is provided free of charge by Google.com/analytics. |
| IFrame |
The IFrame module displays content from another site within a frame on the site. It is good etiquette to request permission of a site owner before framing their content. |
| User Defined Table |
The User Defined Table (UDT) module enables the creation of a table which can be populated with data. Data types includes text, integer, decimal, date and time, date, time, true/false, email address, URL, currency and image. Columns can be set as required (mandatory) and can be made visible to Administrators only. The heading of each column is a link can be clicked to reorder data A-Z or Z-A. Table settings enable the Administrator to set the sort order of data and the number of items per page. Administrators can also set the maximum width of images and whether to display http:// before URLs. |
| Dynamic Forms |
Dynamic Forms allows you to easily create custom web forms for your web site. Creating new forms is easy, and you can add as many forms as you would like to your site. |

The Blog module allows you to easily create your own online journal to share your thoughts and ideas with the website visitors. |
| Reports |
This module displays a report based on the results of an SQL Query. The display is controlled by selecting one of many templates to display the data, ranging from a Grid to an HTML Template and more. |
| XML/XSL |
This module queries XML Data from a file or an http request, transforms the XML data using an XSL transformation and returns the result back to the webpage. |
| SEO-Friendly Pack |
This module makes nice, friendly and hierarchically structured URL’s. It will rewrite all DotNetNuke /LinkClick.aspx to normal URL’s. It allows you to optimize your portal quickly and efficiently. It can help you to jump to the top search engine ranking with minimal effort. |
